How long has Zayed Law Offices represented Illinois truck accident victims?

Adam J. Zayed founded Zayed Law Offices in 2009, and commercial-truck and catastrophic-injury cases have been a core practice from day one. Over 15+ years, the firm has recovered more than $150 million for Illinois clients across semi-truck, commercial vehicle, and wrongful-death matters, with a 99% case success rate.
Our Founder

Proven Leadership in Trucking Accident Law

Since Zayed Law Offices was founded in 2009, Adam J. Zayed has built a reputation among his peers in the legal field by providing vigorous yet compassionate representation. A trial lawyer with an emphasis on trucking accidents, highway collisions, and other catastrophic-injury cases, he has led the firm to many millions in recoveries — including multiple eight-figure case results and representation in billion-dollar mass-tort litigations.

Mr. Zayed carefully limits his caseload so every case receives the attention, craft, and strategic development needed to fully articulate each client's losses. He is a graduate of Notre Dame Law School, holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and is admitted to practice in Illinois and Florida.

We never back down. We challenge trucking companies, their lawyers, and their insurers with relentless preparation — because our clients deserve answers, accountability, and results. Our focus on statistics, strategy, behavioral science, and building each case brick by brick is what sets the firm apart.

Our Approach

Trucking litigation rewards discipline. Fast evidence preservation, expert-led case development, and trial-ready preparation are what separate a full-value settlement from a discounted one. Our process holds all three in tension, on every case.

We move fast to preserve evidence

Commercial trucks carry engine-control-module (ECM) data, electronic logging-device (ELD) hours-of-service records, dashcam footage, and maintenance logs — every one of which has a retention window measured in days, not months.

The first 72 hours after a crash are decisive. We issue spoliation letters immediately, dispatch investigators to the scene, and secure accident reconstruction experts before the motor carrier's team can rotate or lose the data.

We build on federal regulations

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) govern every aspect of commercial trucking — driver qualification, hours-of-service, cargo securement, maintenance, and post-crash drug testing. Violations of those rules are often the strongest evidence of negligence, and they open up both compensatory and — where the conduct warrants — punitive damages.

We prepare every case as if it’s going to trial

Most truck-accident cases settle. But insurers settle at full value only when they know the plaintiff’s firm will try the case. Our trial posture is what forces best-and-final offers to the table — and in the cases that do go to a Cook County jury, our courtroom record speaks for itself.

We limit caseload, not attention

Volume practices process cases. We build them. Every client works directly with a partner-level attorney, not a revolving door of associates. That means one set of hands on the strategy, one phone line for updates, and the bandwidth to fight a case the way it needs to be fought.

Chicago Focus

Five minutes from Cook County civil court.

Our office sits at 1132 S Wabash in the South Loop — steps from the commercial corridors where trucks move through the city, and five minutes from the courthouse where these cases are tried.
